Introduction
The challenge of creating and maintaining a sustainable environment is one of the most pressing issues facing the world today. Increasing energy consumption, finite energy supplies, inappropriate production methods, environmental pollution, water scarcities, soil degradation, declining land productivity and dwindling resources are resulting in major environmental crises in many parts of the world. These critical global challenges have led to an increasing demand to mitigate environmental issues and move towards sustainability.
The International Conference on Environmental Management Technologies 2011 (ICEMT 2011) will bring together an international and interdisciplinary audience to address many of the issues connected with environmental management including waste management, environmental pollution and control, natural resource management and environmental policy, auditing and risk assessment. Environmental management in the Arab world is of particular interest where urban areas are undergoing one of the fastest rates of development and this rapid, often erratic, and sometimes traumatic growth has not occurred without unwanted consequences on the environment.
The conference welcomes papers that discuss the latest developments in environmental management research and application. The aim of the conference is to present results of research and innovated technologies related to environmental problems which pose a threat to the environment and the quality of life on earth. The ICEMT 2011 provides a forum for scholars, researchers, academicians and practitioners to examine and discuss solution-oriented methods for environmental management and engineering; to share and exchange experiences and research findings; to stimulate more ideas and useful insights regarding current best-practices and future directions in environmental management and the legal, social, and political components related to it; and to debate their views on future research and developments.

Abstract submission must be in English with a length of max. 500 words. Full paper submission could be in either English or Arabic. You are asked to identify the research track for your paper. Abstract and full paper submissions should be sent in MS Word or PDF document format.

Best Paper Award (2 Awards)
The Best Paper Award is presented to the individual(s) where their paper has been judged by a separate awards committee, as being the best paper appearing in the conference proceedings. A certificate of achievement and 300 USD will be awarded. Where there is more than one author for a paper, the award shall be divided equally among all authors and each shall receive a certificate. Judging shall be on the bases of general quality, originality, subject matter, and timeliness.

Concrete Washout Systems
Construction sites have long been identified as a major contribution to the pollution of urban runoff pollution prevention good practice not carried out regularly. Materials washed into the storm drain have a direct impact on local waterways and habitats in this environment.
The most common discharge into our storm drains from concrete construction of residues and contaminants from washing down equipment such as concrete trucks, pumps, mixers, chutes, hand tools and wheelbarrows.
In this regard, a high potential for pollution of urban runoff, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has intensified its efforts to keep storm water pollution prevention plans are compatible with the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System. All of these essential criteria are part of the U.S. Clean Water Act and mandates the use of best management practices (BMPs) on construction sites.
Potential emissions of the storm drainage systems from concrete work has become a priority of federal and state EPA, water quality control officials, regional and local inspectors, as well as the strategic goal of advocacy and environmental groups. Illegal discharges into our waterways can bring a fine of $ 32,500 per day if the U.S. EPA is involved.
As the Front Range, Colorado licensee of Concrete Washout Systems, Inc., CWS Colorado LLC is the Denver Concrete Washout leader for our environmentally safe collection and recycling of construction concrete washout water and solids. On April 25 and 26, Casey Trees planted 85 trees along a barren stretch of Ft. Lincoln Drive NE in Ward 5 as part of its Large Parcel Tree Planting Pilot Program. An additional 15 trees will be added in mid-May.
The Large Parcel Tree Planting Program will add a minimum of 500 trees over two years on large parcels in need of tree cover across Washington, D.C. Added trees will count towards the District?s tree canopy goal of 40 percent by 2035, which requires an average of 8,600 trees be planted each year to be met.
Additionally, the Large Parcel Tree Planting Program will allow Casey Trees and the District Department of the Environment (DDOE), a key strategic partner in this effort, to experiment with nontraditional planting stock such as root bag, hand-ball and bare root trees and seedlings. Maintenance regimes will also be experimented with.
Tree maintenance, including watering and mulching duties, will be performed by Casey Trees? Summer Crew, which is made up of D.C.-area high school students and under supervision of Casey Trees staff.
The innovative program is made possible with funding through the Chesapeake Bay Stewardship Fund via the Small Watershed Grants Program which is administered by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. FedEx has provided $ 20,000 in support of the program as part of its FedEx EarthSmart Outreach initiative which helps to address the most pressing environmental challenges. Additional underwriting is provided by Altria and Casey Trees.

Ideal locations have large areas of grass and are singular or contiguous properties and can accommodate a minimum of 100 trees such as cemeteries and institutional landscapes (e.g. hospitals, universities, etc.). Preference will be given to locations within Oxon Run and Rock Creek Watersheds. Sites do not need water access.

Animals, minerals and plants are all part of earths resources, the environment that help us to live. Because human beings are increasing in numbers and are also increasing their needs, they are using up earths resources and destroying the environment very quickly. This means ?protection from loss or waste? and it is just as important to conserve animals as forests, minerals or anything else.
Every animal has an important part to play in nature and is needed in life of some other animal, as it could be seen in food chains. When a species of animal becomes extinct of dies out, many other living creatures are affected.
National parks are places where animals can be conserved in all their beauty and variety.
Many such parks now exist all over the world. In many parks and zoos, rare animals, are being bred and in some cases, returned to the wild. Some animals are protected by law from hunting, but this is not always enough. Hence breeding is undertaken.
Early man obtained all his food by hunting animals, but it was not until recent centuries that man has tried to produce animals to suit him. This is known as breeding.
All of our farm animals and pets today are the descendants of wild species. For instance man first made friends with wild dogs long ago. These dogs developed into all the kinds of dogs we know today, mainly because man controlled their breeding.
