Save Water: Scarcity of Water
As we all know water is the most essential resource among all. Today we all are facing the biggest problem that is scarcity of water as the level of water is continually decreasing. Many countries have been facing water problems for years, but no country found any solution for it. Millions of people start their day in search of water, end of the day they succeed. In many countries people die because of contaminated water as they do not have any water resources that contain pure water. There is no machine or any mechanism to prevent water being wasted, but what we can do is we can save the water. In many areas rain water get wasted as there is no procedure to save water. Water management is the best alternative to save our precious resource so that we can save for the new generation.
We need well strategies in the areas where heavy rainfall occurs so that we can save the water as much as we can and for this we will have to come up with new techniques. Rain water is not the only means of saving water, but it can be saved where drainage system is not proper. A lot of water gets wasted as there is no drainage system. A reduction in the amount of water aquatic ecosystems and groundwater may have huge environmental impact. This impact could range from too little water in rivers and lakes to achieve good status, and the drying out of wetlands to the intrusion of salt-water into aquifer and less water to dilute inputs of pollutants.
Several agencies are taking initiative and appeal to people stop wasting water and their efforts have been spreading the awareness till date. If the water is managed carefully a lot of water can be saved. There are many ways of water management like saving rain water, proper drainage system, water harvesting, etc. When water pipes get leaked gallons of water get wasted and people can see only as they can do nothing. To this kind of problem the material used in manufacturing of water pipes should be capable enough to hold pressure. Some countries have framed a law under which if anyone is seen wasting water or misusing the water, then a strict action will be taken.
As the development is increasing rivers and lakes are getting smaller, which is not good for flora and fauna. Human beings are not the only one who needs water, but plants and animals are also needed.
